Meet the Maker
I've been making things out of wood since I was a small child. It's something I really love to do. Over the years, I've built a wide variety of projects for friends and family, from birdhouses to pet furniture. In January 2026, I tried my hand at live edge tables and absolutely loved it, which inspired me to start my own custom live edge furniture business.
I named the business Blue Wing Woodworks after the blue-winged teal, a duck found in Central Valley wetlands where I've spent a lot of time as a wildlife biologist.
